Business BASIC
« on: November 11, 2015, 12:16:11 AM »
I thought I would post an example of software I work on outside open source. This as a reminder that BASIC isn't a toy and many companies depend on multiple variations of BASIC for mission critical applications.

It looks powerful. So do you mainly use BASIC in commercial career? Which BASIC did you use while developing this software?

Currently I'm making a Game Engine extension for MY-BASIC during spare time, I'd prefer make it a commercial software or shareware. I guess BASIC is neater than other languages (such as Python) if it has enough ready-made libraries.

Sage 100 is written in ProvideX Business BASIC. Business BASIC is about 40+ years old and has a huge install base.

You can try the free non-commercial version on the PVXPlus site. Online documentation available.
